b. Data Presentation
The data presentation was divided into three parts, namely the descriptive statistics of the respondents’ opinion on the designed materials, the result of the
interview with students and the comments and suggestions on the designed materials. They are described as follows:
1 Descriptive Statistics of the Respondents’ Opinions on the Designed Materials The opinion of the respondents was gathered from the evaluation
questionnaires. As stated in the previous section, description of the respondents, the responses obtained from the questionnaires are which of English instructors.
The data from the questionnaires was then calculated using the central tendency measurement. The respondents’ opinion was expressed in statements of agreement
which are as follows: Semester
Group of Respondents III V
Students of English Language Education
Study Program 2
3
SD : strongly disagree with the statement
D : disagree with the statement
A : agree with the statement
SA : strongly agree with the statement
In order to process the data, degrees were then given to those statements in form of numbers to show the degree of the respondents’ agreement. Those
numbers were classified as follows: 1 : strongly disagree with the statement SD
2 : disagree with the statement D 3 : agree with the statement A
4 : strongly agree with the statement SA
The result of the questionnaire was analyzed by using Central Tendency Measurement. The descriptive statistics of the respondents’ opinion on the
designed materials are divided into two categories: the materials development and the impact of the materials in students’ learning. The following table is the
descriptive statistic of the respondents’ opinions on the designed materials:
