Foreign currency risk
Mata uang fungsional Kelompok Usaha adalah Rupiah. Kelompok Usaha menghadapi risiko nilai
tukar mata uang asing karena pinjaman, penjualan ekspor dan biaya beberapa pembelian utamanya
dalam mata uang Dolar Amerika Serikat atau harga yang secara signifikan dipengaruhi oleh tolak ukur
perubahan harganya dalam mata uang asing terutama Dolar AS seperti yang dikutip dari pasar
internasional. Apabila pendapatan dan pembelian Kelompok Usaha di dalam mata uang selain
Rupiah, dan tidak seimbang dalam hal nilai danatau pemilihan waktu, Kelompok Usaha harus
menghadapi risiko mata uang asing. The Group’s functional currency is the Rupiah. The
Group faces foreign exchange risk as the borrowings, export sales and the costs of certain
key purchases are either denominated in the United States Dollar or whose price is significantly
influenced by their benchmark price movements in foreign currencies mainly US Dollar as quoted in
the international markets. If the revenue and purchases of the Group are denominated in
currencies other than Rupiah, and are not evenly matched in terms of quantum andor timing, the
Group has exposure to foreign currency risk.
Entitas Anak tertentu mengadakan transaksi derivatif, khususnya pertukaran mata uang cross-
currency swaps untuk mengelola dampak risiko mata uang karena utang dalam mata uang asing.
Transaksi derivatif tersebut ditetapkan oleh Kelompok Usaha sebagai bagian dari akuntansi
lindung nilai arus kas. Lebih lanjut, terkait dengan yang telah dijelaskan pada paragraf sebelumnya,
fluktuasi kurs tukar antara Rupiah dan Dolar AS memberikan ruang lindung nilai alami natural
hedge terhadap dampak kurs tukar dalam Kelompok Usaha.
A Subsidiary entered into derivative transactions, specifically cross-currency swaps to manage
currency risk exposures related to its foreign currency-denominated
debt. This
derivative transaction was designated by the Group under
cash flow hedge accounting. Further, in relation to the matters discussed in the preceding paragraph,
the fluctuations in the exchange rates between the Rupiah and US Dollar provide some degree of
natural hedge for the Group’s foreign exchange exposure.
Pada tanggal 31 Maret 2016, jika nilai tukar Rupiah terhadap mata uang asing menguatmelemah
sebanyak 10 dengan semua variabel konstan, laba sebelum pajak penghasilan untuk periode
yang berakhir pada tanggal 31 Maret 2016 akan lebih tinggirendah sebesar Rp540.143 terutama
sebagai akibat keuntungankerugian penjabaran aset dan liabilitas moneter dalam mata uang asing.
