48 b. Quoting somebody else Sometimes, the writers of Pulsa tabloid needed to write direct quotation from the informant. In this case, the writers could not modify the information in order to make the information reliable. To make the information reliable, the writers then wrote the information from the informant with quotation mark. c. Expressing solidarity and group identity As a popular tabloid in Indonesia, Pulsa tabloid wanted to have a good relation with the readers. In doing so, the writers of Pulsa tabloid modified the language in order to attract the readers and make the readers comfortable when reading Pulsa tabloid.

B. Suggestions

Based on the conclusions stated above, the researcher had some suggestions to the English language learners and future researchers.

1. English Language Learners

For the English language learners, this study may suggest the variation in using English to communicate orally or written. This study showed that English can be juxtaposed with Bahasa Indonesia to create a new language expression to communicate.

2. Future Researchers

The researcher would suggest to the future researchers to conduct more complete research on code-switching. Besides that, the future researcher can conduct a research on code-switching on the other articles, such as news articles or opinion articles.
