BAB III METODE PENELITIAN

3.1 Bentuk Penelitian

Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan Metode asosiatif. Menurut Azwar Juliandi 2013:123 pendekatan assosiatif adalah pendekatan korelasional dengan menggunakan dua atau lebih variabel guna mengetahui hubungan atau pengaruh antara variabel satu dengan variabel lainnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan di bantu dengan program Statistik. 3.2 Lokasi Penelitian dan Waktu Penelitian Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT. London Sumatra Indonesia, Tbk yang terletak di jalan Ahmad Yani No.2, Kesawan, Medan. Waktu penelitian dilaksanakan pada November sampai dengan selesai.

3.3 Populasi dan Sampel

3.3.1 Populasi

Adapun yang menjadi populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan pada PT.PP London Sumatera, Tbk Jalan Ahmad Yani No. 2 Kesawan, Medan yang berjumlah 109 orang.

3.3.2 Sampel

Menurut Sugiyono 2008:116 sampel adalah bagian dari jumlah dan karakteristik yang dimiliki oleh popolasi tersebut. Penentuan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode probability sampling degan teknik simple random sampling yang merupakan teknik pengambilan sampel dari populasi dilakukan dengan cara acak tanpa memperhatikan strata yang ada dalam populasi Universitas Sumatera Utara tersebut. Dalam menentukan sampel dari suatu populasi dapat menggunakan Rumusan Slovin dengan nilai kritis sebesar 10. Sumber : Juliandi 2013:62 Dimana: 1 = Konstanta n = Ukuran sampel N = Ukuran populasi e 2 = Persen kelonggaran ketidaktelitian karena kesalahan pengambilan Sampel yang masih dapat ditolelir atau diinginkan, sebanyak 10 Maka sampel akan dicari dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin, = 52 orang Berdasarkan teori tersebut maka dapat diperoleh sampel sebanyak 52 orang.

3.4 Hipotesis
