244 into experimental group and control group both participating the seeing, experiencing and games in the exhibition. Observation record, learning sheet and interview will assist the study. Researcher is also the curator, guide, observer, interviewer and grader. Data will be collected and analyzed through action reflection and thus offer the necessary adjustment to the mode of exhibition.

3.1 Research Design

On the phase of curating, the exhibition items representing Hakka image of 5 senses of sight, hearing, smelling, taste and touch will be decided following literature review and analysis. For the sight exploration, there will be image display and decoration, micro film, photography, picture books and culture and creative products, etc. For the hearing, traditional Hakka music, contemporary Hakka music and children’s ballads will be played as the background music in the exhibition. 2 gourmet feats will be held during the exhibition for the taste experience. Most Hakka food ingredients are pickled or sun-dried and therefore have special smell, such as preserved mustard cabbage and dried radish. Camphor oil and citronella oil are provided for the smell experience. As for the touch experience, there will be DIY area where Hakka cultural and creative products are provided and fun area with traditional Hakka toys.

3.2 Subject

This research will be done in “Voluntary Artists’ Studio Thimphu,” an NGO known as VAST, in Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. There’s still no Chinese taking up residence in Bhutan. Ever since the country’s opening up to the world, there have been Chinese tourists; however, Hakka culture is rarely known in Bhutan. The subject of this research is the visitors in the international Hakka image exhibition, including the citizens of Bhutan, international tourists and VAST volunteers.

3.3 Data Collection

The procedure includes pretest, experiment intervention, posttest, semi-structural interview and data analysis. The participants are divided into experiment group and control group. The experiment group refers to those who watch the exhibition without any guiding while those in the control group are guided and fully participate in the 5 senses activities. Both groups will take
