B. SARAN
Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan dan kesimpulan yang telah dipaparkan, peneliti mengajukan beberapa saran yang dibagi ke dalam dua bagian,
yaitu saran metodologis dan saran praktis:
1. Saran Metodologis
a. Penelitian tentang serious cyberloafing masih terbuka lebar untuk dikembangkan dengan meneliti faktor-faktor lain yang turut mempengaruhi seperti,
faktor situasional ataupun organisasional, mengingat kontribusi motivasi berprestasi hanya berkisar 32.
b. Selayaknya teknologi yang selalu berkembang, aktivitas yang digolongkan sebagai serious cyberloafing juga turut berubah. Peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan
untuk lebih memperhatikan kawasan ukur dari skala yang akan digunakan dengan menggunakan alat ukur dan referensi-referensi terkini, sehingga hasil yang
didapatkan benar-benar meliputi seluruh aktivitas serious cyberloafing. c. Peneliti selanjutnya disarankan untuk dapat mengontrol variabel-variabel
lainnya, seperti usia, yang dapat mempengaruhi hasil penelitian. d. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode self-report subjek
menilai dirinya sendiri. Walaupun kerahasiaan jawaban telah dijaga, masih terdapat kemungkinan responden mengisi skala dengan memilih tingkatan frekuensi yang
lebih rendah dari yang sebenarnya. Hal ini terkait dengan status serious cyberloafing
sebagai perilaku menyimpang di tempat kerja, sehingga terdapat social desirability. Untuk peneliti selanjutnya, disarankan agar menggunakan bentuk metode lain dalam
mengukur perilaku contoh: penilaian dari rekan kerja dan atasan, mendapatkan data tambahan lainnya contoh: pengamatan langsung, ataupun melakukan studi
eksperimen. Dengan demikian, data yang dihasilkan akan semakin mendekati keadaan yang sebenarnya.
2. Saran Praktis
Dari hasil penelitian ini, diketahui bahwa tingkat penyalahgunaan internet oleh karyawan dalam bentuk serious cyberloafing berada dalam taraf yang rendah.
Walau begitu, tingkat motivasi berprestasi karyawan berada dalam tingkat sedang atau menengah. Hal ini masih tidak menutup kemungkinan untuk peningkatan serious
cyberloafing di masa depan. Maka dari itu, peneliti menyarankan kepada perusahaan untuk mengambil langkah-langkah yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi berprestasi
dari karyawan, mengingat motivasi berprestasi merupakan variabel kepribadian yang dapat dilatih. Adapun cara yang dapat dilakukan seperti mengadakan training
motivasi berprestasi.
