Natural Gas Sektor Rumah Tangga

By 2015, almost all the gas needs to meet domestic demand supplied by domestic production, while gas needs by 2030 supplied by domestic gas production, gas imports, as well as CBM. Gas imports will reach 640 million BOE, or 25 of the total supply of natural gas. Non-conventional gas resources that can be expected other than natural gas is CBM with a share of 10-11. Synthetic gas from coal gasification is used for power generation in a small amount about 1 of the total gas supply. Synthetic gas from coal has the potential to meet the demand in industry sector and power plant.

4.2.2 LNG Balance

LNG consumption from domestic sources started from the year 2012 in line with the operation of a floating LNG receiving terminal FSRU. LNG consumption from domestic sources would increase accordingly with the addition capacity of the FSRU. On base scenario, LNG imports will be required starting 2020 to meet domestic gas demand. If the domestic LNG production is not increased then in 2024 domestic gas production will not be able to meet domestic demand and export contracts commitments. In 2030 the deficit of gas is expected to reach 14.3 million gas tons while LNG imports reached 46 of the total gas supply.

4.2.3 LPG Balance

LPG demand is expected to continue to increase, influenced by the growth of population and also Kerosene to LPG conversion program in residential sector. On base scenario, the demand of LPG expected to rise to 9 million tons in 2030 which dominated by the residential sector demand 90. Although domestic production of LPG is expected to increase to 3.8 million tons per year in line with the addition of refining capacity, LPG import source is still needed and reached 58 in 2030.
