- Students are able to identify certain information from the oral announcement.
- Students are able to discuss the content and language used in announcement in
group. -
Students are able to make their own announcement based on the given situation. -
Students are able to identify the specific information from the announcement they listen.
Teaching Learning Sequence A.
Introduction
- Teacher greets the students.
- Teacher opens the lessons by praying.
- Students do brainstorming by answering the questions about announcement.
- Students in group discuss the content of the announcement.
- Students make their own announcement.
B. Whilst Activities
- Teacher explains today activities.
- Students make notes about the recording.
- Students answering the questions from the text.
- Teacher discusses the answers.
- Students fill the blank with the missing words from the passage.
- Students in group discuss the language and the generic structure from the
announcement.
C. Closing
- Teacher reviews today lesson.
- Teacher gives personal reflection sheet.

Standard Competencies: To understand meaning in short functional text and monolog in the form of simple
narrative, descriptive, and news item in the context of daily life.
Basic Competencies: To understand meaning in short oral monolog text in the form of simple narrative,
descriptive, and news item accurately, fluently and acceptable in various daily life contexts
.
Indicators:
- Students are able to share their experience about camping or summer camp.
- Students are able to know the meaning of words related to camping in accordance
with the recording. -
Students are able to identify the theme of the reading passage. -
Students are able to identify the main idea of the text. -
Students are able to comprehend the reading passage by answering the questions provided.
Teaching Learning Sequence A.
Introduction
- Teacher opens the class by praying.
- Teacher greets the students.
- Teacher gives student trivia questions related to camping.
- Teacher asks students’ experience when they had camping in group 3-4.
B. Whilst Activities
- Teacher tells students about today activities.
- Students are divided into three major groups. The first group will get the first
paragraph. The second group will have the second paragraph and the last group will get the last paragraph. Then give time for the groups to learn their paragraph.
Then ask the students to make groups of three consisted expert from each paragraph. So in one group there are three people with three different paragraphs.
All members must be able to know the meaning of the whole paragraph and to answer the questions given.
- Students answer the questions from the reading individually and the overall score
of each individual will be totaled as the group score. -
