False Beauty
The parrots’ family is happy. Their two eggs have hatched. Mr. and Mrs. Parrot want to hold a party so
that their babies will have good luck. Mr. and Mrs. Parrot invite all birds.
All kinds of birds are happy too. They get ready to attend the party long before the party is held. They
take a bath in a lake so that they look fresh. In brief,
all of the birds are busy improving their appearances. The fixed day comes. The flock of birds flies to the parrot’s house. Every one is happy.
Mr. and Mrs. Parrot invites Mr. Crow too. He is busy making himself neat. “I’m getting bored
with my black feathers. I must have a dandy appearance. I really want other animals to
admire me,” said Mr. Crow in his mind. Mr. Crow goes to Miss. Peacock, Mr. and Mrs. Parrot
invites her to the Parrot’s party, she is not participating in it because she cannot fly and it is
too far away to walk. “Good morning, Miss Peacock,” greets Mr. Crow politely. “Good morning,
Mr. Crow. I’m glad to see you, but why you do not come to the Parrot’s party?”. She was famous for her kindness to any animal on the jungle.
“Well, Miss Peacock. I will take a part in the party. Unfortunately, I don’t like my black feathers anymore. Would you like to give me some of yours?
I’d really like to have a dandy appearance with colorful feathers. How lucky you are to have such beautiful feathers,” praised Mr. Crow. “The
beauty of my feathers is a present from God. Don’t you know that? It doesn’t come
from me. Anyway, my dear friend, if you need some, you can take them. It’s free,”
said Miss Peacock calmly. “Thank you very much,” said Mr. Crow gladly. No one
humiliates me now,” Having taken some feathers, Mr. Crow
stick on the feathers on his body with the
glue of the tree sap. He cannot stop admiring himself. “No one humiliates me now,”
Having been satisfied with self praise, he sets out for the Parrot’s house. Alas The feathers fall apart
just a few meters from his nest. Mr. Crew flies back to his nest. He is disappointed
but he keeps trying to make himself beautiful. After thinking a lot, Mr. Crow finds a way. He
makes a mixture of leaves. He paints his feathers with it. It is true His appearance is totally
different. Standing on his two strong feet, he admires himself. “How handsome I am. No bird is more beautiful than I am.” Then he flies to the
party, unfortunately, the rain is very hard. He cannot take shelter. The hard rain caused him to become soaking wet. Gradually, the mixture is
fade. His body was very dirty Time goes by. The party was over. All the birds flew back to their own
nests. On the way home, they talk about the delicious fruits they have eaten. They also praise the ornaments of the room.
“Hi, Mr. Crow where have you been?” Why are your feathers so dirty?” asks Mr. Starling. All birds are approaching Mr. Crow. They took pity on
him. “Don’t you know that I was the busiest one at the Parrot’s party? I sought
fruit and decorated the room with ornaments. I painted the walls. The paint sprinkled on my feathers so that my body becomes very dirty,” lays
Mr. Crow. They frown their brows and thank him for his generosity. Mr. Crow, on the other hand, says in his mind.
“By cheating I find honors. They respect me. “Foolish bird” He feels bad about having lied but his regret came too late.
