1. Questionnaires
In this study, the writer used two questionnaires. The first questionnaire was for the needs survey. It was distributed to the 70 eleventh grade students of
SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta in order to know the students’ needs and interests. It
was written in Indonesian because the students could more easily understand the meaning of the questions so that they could answer all of them appropriately. The
questionnaire used closed-ended questions in which the respondents chose the options given. The questions were about learning reading and writing in class,
their difficulties, and the learning style they want. The second questionnaire was for the evaluation survey on the designed
materials. It was distributed to the two English teachers of SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta and a lecturer of the English Education Study Program of Sanata
Dharma University. The purpose of it was to get evaluation and feedback on the designed materials.
The second questionnaire was divided into two parts; Part A and Part B. Part A contained closed-ended questions where the respondents should choose
from the options given. The respondents were asked to fill the questionnaires to gain information about: whether the designed materials using Cooperative
Integrated Reading and Composition CIRC matched with the goals and objectives, whether the designed materials were appropriate for the eleventh grade
of Senior High School to teach integrated reading and writing, whether the arrangement of the designed materials was well organized, and whether the
materials were well selected and developed. Part B included open-ended questions in which the respondents freely
gave their comments and suggestions for the designed materials in their entirety. PLAGIAT MERUPAKAN TINDAKAN TIDAK TERPUJI
