Follow up the World Bank review and PMU letter, now the Larap report is being revision process by CTC. A revision for the report will be submitted to the World
Bank on the end of December 2013.

6.6.20. Package No. 20: Lubuk Alung – Sicincin Social Issues:-
The Larap report of package for Lubuk Alung – Sicincin is under preparation by Balai II Padang West Sumatera. Now CTC waiting for the report from Balai II
Padang.
Environmental Issues:-
Now CTC waiting for and ensure the environmental safeguard for this package from Balai II PadangSubtit EA DTA.

6.7 Management Information Systems
In November 2013, we do the technical work and trouble shooting related to internet network access at the office of CTC-WINRIP.
6.7.1. Restructuring The CTC-WINRIP Server
Why we should reset the server? In recent months, internet access in the office of CTC-WINRIP often down and bandwidth
getting slow. This interferes with the job performance of all personnel of CTC-WINRIP. Therefore it is necessary to perform rearrangement internet access in the office of CTC-
WINRIP.

Objectives •
The restructuring of network access then the internet do not often die. So that internet access can be used throughout the working day.
• Distribution of rations same bandwidth of internet access for each user. Then block
the use of downloading software such as IDM who spend a share of internet bandwidth.
• Perform automatic recording of internet bandwidth usage, so that administrators can
track users who often spends of internet bandwidth. •
Improve network and internet security thus minimizing the spread of viruses and intruders from outside.
Scope of works •
Setting up proxy server, activities to regulate the internet traffic between the user’s computer with the server.
So the network activity will be collected and recorded on the server.

Results of activities 1. Setting up proxy server:
• Proxy server facility has been successfully set in CTC-WINRIP using Squid
Proxy software. Squid has many types of uses, from speeding up the server, DNS caching, caching of web sites, and search caching computers on the
network.
