difraksinasi partisi menggunakan heksan menunjukkan total antioxidant capacity TAOC terbesar 471,300 ± 0,013 dengan phosphomolybdenum method dan
antioxidant activity coefficient AAC terbesar pada β-carotene-bleaching methods.
V. SIMPULAN DAN SARAN
5.1
Simpulan
Respon Awal dan Penerimaan responden terhadap minyak sawit mentah adalah baik, sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan dalam penanggulangan Kekurangan Vitamin A
KVA. Konsumsi minyak sawit mentah selama dua bulan dapat meningkatkan kadar retinol dalam plasma darah dan memperbaiki status kecukupan vitamin A responden.
Setelah mengkonsumsi MSMn 3,27 ml perhari selama 2 bulan kadar retinol plasma responden meningkat. Rata-rata kadar retinol sesudah mengkonsumsi MSMn 1,68
μmoll dibandingkan sebelum konsumsi MSMn 1,56 μmoll. Sedangkan untuk aktivitas enzim penanda kesehatan hati setelah mengkonsumsi MSMn dengan
kandungan β-karoten 2169,606 μg selama dua bulan mengalami penurunan aktivitas.
Rata-rata aktivitas AST pada plasma darah responden sebelum mengkonsumsi MSMn 9,640 Ul dan setelah mengkonsumsi MSMn menjadi 7,052 Ul. Rata-rata aktivitas
ALT pada plasma darah responden sebelum mengkonsumsi MSMn 12,605 Ul dan setelah mengkonsumsi MSMn menjadi 9,413 Ul. Rata-rata aktivitas ALP pada plasma
darah responden sebelum mengkonsumsi MSMn 82,343 Ul dan setelah mengkonsumsi MSMn menjadi 52,954 Ul.
5.2 Saran
Dilakukan penelitian tentang konsumsi MSMn pada responden yang mengalami gangguan fungsi hati dan responden yang mengkonsumsi alkohol. Serta dilakukan
penelitian tentang pengaruh konsumsi MSMn terhadap ekspresi gen pada enzim β-
karoten dioksidase dan retinaldehida reduktase yang berperan merubah β-karoten
menjadi retinol.
