Speaking In speaking, a message is transferred from a speaker to a listener. “The speaker produces the message and the hearer receives the message” Widdowson, 1979:38. Furthermore, Widdowson explained that speaking is a kind of active and productive interaction that makes use of aural mediums. In this study, speaking is communicating information of ideas to students by giving teaching learning process in English. 3. Bilingual Mathematics Class Teachers Francois Grosjean Bathia, Tej K, 2006: 34 wrote that bilingual is those people who use two or more languages or dialects in their everyday lives. In addition, Fred Genesee Bathia, Tej K, 2006, 548 defined bilingual education is as education that aims to promote bilingual competence by using both or all languages as media of instruction for significant portions of the academic curriculum with respect to three features: linguistic goals, pedagogical approaches, and levels of schooling. In this study, the pioneer bilingual class is a small class program amount to twenty students with mostly English and less Indonesian as the language used for the school activities, while bilingual mathematics class teacher is a teacher who conducts mathematics class in the pioneer bilingual class. Since English is a foreign language for Indonesian, teachers must take bilingual preparation program to prepare them to teach mathematics in bilingual class. Junior High School In this study, junior high school is defined as a school where the students have their second formal and compulsory education after elementary school. The study in junior high school takes three years. 5. The Seventh Grade Grade is school level under which a student is joined according to his age, ability, and cognitive development. In Junior High School, there are three grades namely seventh grade, eighth grade, and ninth grade. In this study, the writer designs a set of materials based on the seventh grade mathematics curriculum of Junior High School for bilingual class. 6. Wisma Bahasa Yogyakarta Wisma Bahasa Yogyakarta is located at Komplek Colombo no. 45 CT V, Depok, Sleman, Yogyakarta. This institution has three programs: General English, English for Specific Purposes, and Conversation. Bilingual Preparation Program is one of the classes of English for Specific Purposes.
