C. Analysis on the Influence of Translators’ Gender
Women and men are considered to have different uses of language in daily life. There are some assumption where people believe that gender influences
anything in life such as language, thought, and attitude. Such hidden feeling or attitude of female and male can be reflected through the language usage of both
female and male. In the data used in this research, there are some data that portray specific
expressions that glorify that female and male do have their “own way” of using language for different objectives, namely promoting autonomy or independence
by male translators or promoting intimacy by female translators. Most of the texts are translated with the dynamic equivalence, and they deliver the meaning of the
56
text well. It makes the texts readable. Besides, the translation that is clasified as the dynamic equivalence makes the readers able to understand the idea clearly.

Text 1.
ST6030 I looked at Jamie, then up to the ceiling and around the room,
doing my best to keep my composure, then back to Jamie, again. She smiled at me and I smiled at her and all I could do was
wonder how I‟d ever fallen in love with a girl like Jamie Sullvian.
1TTF1 Aku menatap Jamie lekat-lekat, menengadah kelangit-langit dan
memandang kesekeliling ruangan, berusaha sekuat tenaga menahan emosiku. Kutatap Jamie lagi. Ia balas tersenyum
gadis seperti Jamie Sullvian.
