a. Students’ Perception Based on the Questionnaire

As presented in Appendix 4, it is shown that the majority of participants had positive perception towards the purpose of worksheets given by lecturers in learning process. It is shown that 26.8 of the total participants strongly agreed that worksheet could help them to understand the material better, 61.6 of participants agreed, 10.9 of participants doubted, 0.7 of participants disagreed and none disagreed with the statement. To sum the findings, 88.4 of total participants the sum of all strongly agree percentages and all agree percentages argued that worksheet could help them to understand the material better. For the second statement, 20.3 participants strongly agreed that worksheets helped students to memorize and remember the important terms in the materials, 60.1 participants agreed, 17.4 participants doubted the statement, and 2.2 participants disagreed that worksheets helped students to memorize and to remember the important terms in the materials. It is seen that the majority of participants were in agreement if worksheet helped them to memorize the material and to remember the important terms on the material, by having 80.4 level of agreement from the total of participants. The third statement proposes the purpose of worksheet that is whether worksheets helped students to study independently. In Appendix 4, it is shown that 11.6 participants strongly agreed with the statement, while 55.1 others agreed, 23.9 others doubted, 8.7 others disagreed, and 0.7 of participants 42 strongly disagreed with the statement. This finding was interesting to find out since this third statement dealt with the main discussion of the research and the doubtful rate to the statement is relatively high. Therefore interview data was employed to crosscheck the findings in the questionnaire. Reaching 66.7 of participants agreed with the statement, participants had fairly positive perception. The last purpose that the researcher stated in the questionnaire is whether the students used worksheets as learning media for test preparation. The findings show that 26.1 of participants strongly agreed that worksheet could be used as learning material as test preparation, 57.9 of participants agreed, 14.5 of participants doubted, 0.7 of participants disagreed and 0.7 of them strongly disagreed the fourth purpose of worksheets. Participants were considered to have positive perception towards the purpose of worksheet as test preparation since the percentage reaches 84.0 in the total of agreement. Another finding was drawn by the researcher from the open-ended questions. The researcher asked the participants to define worksheet to see their awareness on the purpose of worksheets. From the table below, it is obviously shown that the majority of participants had positive perception. It can be seen from the classification statements in the table, focus on statements number 1 to 6. The data positively shows that 2.2 of participants perceived that worksheet could help them learn independently, 25.4 of participants saw worksheet as a learning that help them in improving their skills.
