e. Adjustment of Affixes
Adjustment of affixes is the adjustment of English loan word in the affixes part, either suffix or prefix. There are some English loan word data containing
adjustment of affixes, which are as follows:
1. Authentication is adjusted into Autentikasi
The English loan word Authentication is the result of adjustment of affixes in the SL becomes autentikasi.

According to the rules of EYD, the suffix “tion” should be changed into “si”.
Thus the SL Authentication translate becomes Autentikasi in TL.
2. Evolution is Adjusted into Evolusi
Another example of adjustment of affixes is the loan word Evolusi. Evolution Evolusi

Evolusi is from the adjustment of Evolution in SL. The suffix
“tion” in SL is changed into suffix
“si” in TL. Thus the SL Evolution becomes Evolusi in TL.
3. Mobility is adjusted into Mobilitas
Mobillitas in TL is also the result of adjustment of affixes. Here the other

T suffix “itas” in Mobilitas is the result of the adjustment of suffix “ity” from the
word Mobility in the TL. According to the rule, suffix “ity” is absorbed and
adjusted into “itas” so that the translator translates the word Mobility in SL
becomes Mobilitas in TL.
3. The Translation Method Used to Translate the English Loan Words in the Indonesian Version of Novel
Based on the analysis that has been done, there are two types of translation method used in the translation of Angels and Demons from SL to Malaikat dan
Iblis in TL. The translation methods used are translation method close to SL and
translation method close to TL. Each method has more categorization as follows:
a. The Translation Method Closer to SL
Based on the analysis, almost all data are translated using method closer to SL. The translation method is divided into three types; literal translation, faithful
translation and semantic translation method. However, almost all loan words are translated using literal translation method. Example of translation method closer
