3. Language Focus

The third section deals with the theory of the topic being learnt. It contains some language expressions related to the topic being learnt. The learners pronounce and study the language expressions together with the teacher. The purpose of this section is to help the learners to know some useful expressions.

4. Communicative Activities

The fourth section is the main task of the materials. In this section, the learners have opportunities to use the language in pair. Communicative Activities section consists of a game and a mini role-play. It aims to help the learner to be able to use the target language in real situations.

5. Language Exercise

The fifth section deals with the measurement of learners’ achievement after they learn the previous sections. They do an exercise related to the topic being learnt in pair. It is used to measure how far they understand what they have learnt from the previous sections. Moreover, the writer also provided a vocabulary list to help the learner to understand the given materials and to produce the language. Furthermore, the topics, titles, and sections can be seed in the Table 4.8. The syllabus, lesson plans, and units can be seen in Appendix H, I, and J. CHAPTER V CONCLUSIONS AND SUGGESTIONS

This chapter consists of two parts, namely conclusions and suggestions. The first part deals with conclusions of the study. The second part deals with the suggestions that are expected to help English teachers and future researchers.

A. Conclusions

This study dealt with the design of a set of English instructional speaking materials using task-based learning for homestay hosts of Desa Wisata Kembang Arum . There were two problems stated in the problem formulation in this study, they were 1 How is a set of English speaking instructional materials using task- based learning for homestay hosts of Desa Wisata Kembang arum designed?, 2 What does the designed set of English speaking instructional materials using task- based learning for homestay hosts of Desa Wisata Kembang Arum look like? In this study, the writer employed Research and Development R D method. The writer only employed the five first steps from R D. Those steps are 1 research and information collecting, 2 planning, 3 developing preliminary field product, 4 preliminary field testing, and 5 main product revision. To answer the first question, the writer adapted Yalden’s and Kemp’s instructional designed models.
