6. Gangguan bisnis

Kerusakan dari fasilitas dan infrastruktur utama seperti jembatan, jalur pengangkutan, terminal penanganan batubara atau terhalangnya alur sungai dapat menyebabkan berhentinya kegiatan operasional dalam jangka waktu tertentu. Pada akhir tahun 2015, Direksi AE mengeluarkan Kebijakan Manajemen Krisis yang mengharuskan anak perusahaan mengidentiikasi peristiwa krisis misalnya; bencana alam, ledakan, kebakaran, terorisme, yang dapat membuat situasi yang krisis dan membuat rencana penanganan krisis serta latihan-latihan agar krisis dapat ditangani sesegera mungkin. Saat ini baru anak-anak perusahaan utama yang telah menyelesaikan identiikasi ini, namun diharapkan semua anak usaha telah mengimplementasikan hal ini pada tahun 2017. Grup Adaro juga memiliki perlindungan asuransi terhadap gangguan bisnis yang disebabkan oleh kerusakan fasilitas-fasilitas penting.

7. Kepatuhan terhadap hukum dan peraturan

Ada sejumlah peraturan kementerian, perda, dan peraturan lainnya yang harus dipatuhi oleh perusahaan. Ketidakpatuhan terhadap peraturan dapat menyebabkan kerugian reputasi, sanksi, biaya hukum, dan dampak buruk lainnya. Setiap anak usaha AE harus memastikan bahwa aktivitasnya mematuhi hukum dan peraturan yang berlaku. AE memiliki tim Hukum dan Kepatuhan yang bertugas untuk membantu anak-anak usaha agar selalu mematuhi peraturan yang berlaku.

6. Business interruption

Damage of the major facilities and infrastructure such as bridges, hauling road, coal handling terminal or a channel blockage can cause operational activities to be stopped for a period of time. At the end of 2015, the Board of Directors of AE issued a Crisis Management Policy that requires the subsidiaries to identify crisis events e.g. natural disasters, explosions, ires, terrorism, that may become a crisis situation, and make a crisis management plan as well as hold training exercises so that a crisis can be responded to as soon as possible. Currently only the major subsidiaries have completed this identiication but in 2017 we expect it to be implemented by all subsidiaries. Adaro Group has insurance programs in place to cope with business interruption resulting from the damage to critical facilities.

7. Legal and regulatory compliance

There are ministerial, regional and other types of regulations that must be complied with by the company. Non-compliance of the regulations could lead to sanctions, legal costs, and other adverse effects, as well as reputational loss. Each of AE’s subsidiaries must ensure that its activities fully comply with the relevant laws and regulations. 8. Health, safety and environment

It is our obligation to provide a work environment that takes into account the health, safety and the environment for both employees and the surrounding community. We strive to achieve zero harm in terms of employees’ work safety and health as well as to minimize operational impact on the environment. For more detail, see page 186 in our Quality, Health, Safety and Environment section of this report.

9. Community relations

Community relations issues are an aspect common to all mining companies. It is related to the support of the local community and Government to the company’s operations so that the company’s operations run smoothly. For more detailed explanation, see page 200 in our Creating Shared Value section of this report. Effectiveness of Risk Management Implementation Below are the main principles of risk management set out in our risk management policy:

8. Kesehatan, keselamatan dan lingkungan

Merupakan kewajiban perusahaan untuk menyediakan lingkungan kerja yang memperhatikan kesehatan, keselamatan dan lingkungan baik bagi karyawan dan masyarakat sekitar. Perusahaan selalu berusaha untuk mencapai predikat zero harm dari segi keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja karyawan serta meminimalkan dampak operasi terhadap lingkungan. Untuk lebih rinci, dapat dilihat di halaman 186 pada bagian Mutu, Kesehatan, Keselamatan dan Lingkungan dalam laporan ini.

9. Hubungan masyarakat
