elements a s a means of delivery of material. This resea rch wa s conducted to find out the implementation of E- Learning is used effectively in the organization of private universities in Yogyakarta to get a Net Benefit from E-
Learning information system. This research will use the Delone and McLean
’s
2003 model by testing the six variables using SEM Structural Equation Model. The respondents in this study were Lecturers and students at the
Private University of Yogyakarta that use E-Learning.

1. INTRODUCTION
Traditional learning context undergoes a radical change. Teaching and learning is no longer limited to the
traditional classroom Zhang Nunamaker, 2003. Electronic learning E-Learning, a reference to
learning via the Internet, has become a huge phenomenon in the last few years. Schools and
companies in developing education and training online is a great alternative to compete with others. Not just
the world of education that are implementing E-Learning, but many companies have adopted the
E-Learning solutions for the training of their companies, such as Dell, CISCO Learning E-Learning,
and the HP Virtual Classroom Zhang Nunamaker, 2003. Through the E-Learning System, workers and
students have access to various online databases and tools that help them find solutions to problems related
to the job or studies. Zhang and Nunamaker 2003 indicate that training
methods are efficient and effective demand by companies to ensure that their employees and partners
are equipped with the latest information and the most advanced skills. Academics and practitioners consider
the E-Learning system to become a valuable knowledge sharing tools. But in the adoption and development of
information systems such as E-Learning is an expensive investment. However, such an expensive investment is
no guarantee of getting a quality system and in accordance with what is expected of the organization.
Successful implementation of the system is affected by many complex factors. While the implementation of a
system failure, usually occurs due to incompatibility of business processes and systems with the required
information organization Janson and Subramanian 1996; Lucas et al. 1988; Palupi Tjahjono, 2008.
Failures in the implementation of an information system by Jogiyanto 2007 differentiated into two aspects. The
first is the technical aspect, the aspect that concerns the system itself which is the quality of the technical
information systems. As for the second aspect is the non-technical aspects. Failure of the non-technical user
perceptions related to information systems that cause users unwilling or reluctant to use information systems
that have been developed. To find out the required evaluation. The evaluation will be increasingly needed
especially when there are problems that arise related to the implementation of the technology, for example,
there is feedback from users, that its system is less appropriate and more Jogiyanto, 2005.
To test that a lot of research has been done on the model IS successful for example, DeLone McLean,
1992, 2003; Rai, Lang, Welker, 2002; Seddon, 1997 and E-learning e.g., Beam Cameron, 1998;
Carswell, 1997; Hiltz Wellman, 1997; Kerrey Isakson, 2000; Marold et al, 2000; McAllister
McAllister, 1996; Zhang Nunamaker, 2003, research has been done to address the conceptualization and
measurement of the system successful E-learning in the organization. One popular model is a model developed
by DeLone and McLean 2003, best known for the

success of information system Model DeLone and McLean.
This study sought to assess the impact of the test until the organization, this research will discuss the
implementation of E-learning is based on a conceptual model of DeLone and McLean IS success in 2003, to
measure the success and effectiveness of e-learning systems. This study was conducted to determine
whether the implementation of E-learning is used effectively in the organization of private universities
in Yogyakarta to obtain Net Benefit of E-learning information system. The study was carried out because
they no previous studies that examined the efficacy and effectiveness of E-learning system in the college
Yogyakarta DeLone and McLean model in 2003.
