67 2 Activity There were some activities that help students in understanding the learning material. To make it easy to be learned, the writer used some activities which were formulated from the real-life situations. There were various activities in this part of supplementary book which were divided in some aspects as follows: a Individual work. This activity consisted some of activities which focused on individual work. The individual work was consisted of various exercises which allowed the students to practice English individually. b Pair work and group work. This activity was consisted of two or more students and expected to express their ideas and opinion. On the other way, students were trained to listen and accept other ideas or opinion in partner or group. In the end of this activity, the students would get the purpose of this activity. They would understand the importance of working as a group through the learning activities. Most of the activities would be in speaking activities which consists some conversation and also some reading comprehension. c Speaking Listening. In the speaking and listening parts, the students were expected to practice the conversation and their listening skill using the language focus with a partner or in group. d Reading. In the reading part, the students were expected to understand the reading text. 68 e Writing. In the writing part, the students were expected to write a text or a dialogue based on the language focus that they learnt before.

c. Fun times

This part is added as the last activity of each unit. There are two kinds of activities for each unit which was games that related to the topic material for each unit and also songs. It is a group activity that allowed the students to work as a group. The songs that were provided by the writer helped the students to improve the listening skill in enjoyable way. The song part was the participant s’ request in the questionnaire which were distributed in the pre-design survey. d. Did You Know? This part was the additional part of the supplementary book. It was aimed to give some knowledge general information for students. Students would know some general fact that could advance their knowledge. The general fact would be taken from some resources news, internet, encyclopedia books, etc.

e. Let’s Review

This part was the review part of each unit. It was divided into two parts. First part wa s “Let’s review” which re-explained the short explanation of the infographic and the other important explanations in each units. The second part was “Let’s Practice More” which are some exercises that related to each unit. In this part of the supplementary, the students were asked to assess them based on what they have already learnt before.
