7 There were some inconsistent abbreviations e.g. Dr or dr?. The writer should check and recheck on the grammar and spelling in order to
maintain the perfection.
8 In Use What You Have Learned part, making a role play can be time
consuming. Chronological pictures may be simpler.
2. Final Product Revision
After evaluating the designed materials, the writer revised the designed materials based on respondents’ comments, suggestions, and feedback. There
were eight points of the revisions. The description of the revisions is as follows.
a. The materials are designed for the pre-intermediate level. It is considered from their ability and skill to accept the materials.
b. The writer revised some mistyped words in the designed materials.
c. The writer revised some unclear instructions, especially the title of Use What Have You Learned
part and Practice All This Way part in
each topic which were in reverse. d. The writer revised the sentences which was literally translated.
e. The writer provided bullets and a line to separate the phrases to make in
well organized and the review on vocabulary in the table in Keep In Mind
part would be separated. f.
The writer typed the conversation part for the receptionist in boldface in each topic.
g. The writer revised some misspelling and inconsistent abbreviations in the designed materials.
However, there was one suggestion that the writer could not really
accept. The role play in the Use What You Have Learned part was very
important. The writer actually only provided the instructions to make a role play since the writer expected the learners to be creative and then, used their
ability in making sentences and performing their own creation without any chronological pictures or other aids. Yet the writer has provided a role play
using a chronological picture in Asking Patient’s Chief Complaints topic.
