CHAPTER V CONCLUSION

This chapter presents the results of answering the problems that have mentioned in the beginning. The first problem is about the types of code switching occurred in the novel Unbelievable by Winna Efendi; the second problem is about the possible reasons for using code switching in the novel Unbelievable by Winna Efendi. According to the findings of the research, the code switching found in the novel is 92 data. There are three types of the code switching occurs as the data, which are tag switching, inter-sentential code switching and intra-sentential code switching. The writer found 5 data as the first types of code switching, tag switching. There are 31 data found as inter-sentential code switching. Lastly, the most- used code switching types in the novel Unbelievable , intra-sentential code switching which has 56 data. In the case of the possible reasons for using code switching, the writer found that there are seven reasons occuring. The first reason, talking about particular topic was found in 68 data. In contrast from talking about particular topic reasons, the writer only found 1 data that used quoting somebody as the reasons for using code switching. There are 5 data that used being emphatic about something as the reasons and 8 data that used interjection as the data. The reasons repetition used for clarification was found in 2 data. Expressing group identity was found in 1 data. Lastly, clarifying speech content for the interlocutor reasons has 7 data.
