66 5 KESIMPULAN DAN SARAN

5.1 Kesimpulan

Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini adalah : 1. Cherax quadricarinatus telah menyebar hampir di seluruh Danau Maninjau dengan ukuran beragam dan rasio kelamin jantan dan betina seimbang. 2. Persamaan pertumbuhan von Bertalanffy C. quadricarinatus di Danau Maninjau adalah CL t =82 1-e -1.2 t+0.09 3. Cherax quadricarinatus memijah dalam rentang waktu Mei-September dan puncaknya pada bulan Agustus.

4. Fekunditas ovari rata-rata adalah 626±255 dan fekunditas pleopod 383±173.

5. Kondisi kualitas air Danau Maninjau sesuai untuk kehidupan C. quadricarinatus.

5.2 Saran

Pada penelitian ini lobster contoh yang tertangkap menggunakan alat tangkap rago dirasa masih kurang mewakili ukuran lobster sebenarnya di Danau Maninjau terutama untuk lobster berukuran kecil. Oleh karena itu disarankan pada penelitian selanjutnya untuk menambah metode pengambilan contoh dengan mencari lobster secara aktif langsung agar ukuran lobster yang diperoleh lebih beragam. Penelitian selanjutnya mengenai jejaring makanan di Danau Maninjau setelah adanya lobster dan pengaruh lobster terhadap karakter fisik danau terkait kebiasaan meliangnya perlu dilakukan.
