The gallon water is the main source for drinking water in both ecological are which is 1.6 ± 3.1 gallon in lowland and 7.3 ± 6.5 gallon per months in highland. The type of gallon water is the branded gallon water non refill which is 72.8 and 71.6 for highland and lowland respectively. The Aqua is the most popular brand to be used in the highland and the lowland 38.0 and 54.9 respectively. However, the consumption of water-refill is also high enough which is 27.2 in the highland and 28.4 in the lowland. The reason for selecting water drinking is more likely similar with the teenager group.

4.3. Water Consumption and I ts Reasons

The habit in water drinking could be different among age groups, socio-cultural, socio-economic, gender, and regions. The differences of water drinking habit are also found in this research based on two ecological areas. For the teenagers group, they are majority prefer to drink unbottled drinking water. The clean water in the highland is possible more available, and it may makes them prefer to drink unbottled water. However, it is different in the lowland where the numbers of teenagers are 52.3 prefer bottled water and 47.4 unbotlled water Table 10. The reason for this is the lowland of North Jakarta has poor quality of water, so they do not prefer to drink the well water. Table 10. In the highland area, 70.7 of the adults prefer unbottled water and 50 of adults in the lowland prefer bottled water. It means that in the lowland, the adult’s preference is the same between the unbottled water and the ubottled water Table 10. In the teenagers group, the reason for choosing unbottled drinking water is because of its safety, and it is explained by 80.3 and 81.0 in the highland and lowland area respectively. The same reason for selecting the bottled drinking water is a safety, and it was mentioned by the 80.8 of teenagers in highland and 65.4 in lowland. So the issues of safety drinking water are a concern for most teenagers who live in both ecological regions. The second priority of choosing water and other beverages are practically used or easy to drink 11.5 in highland and 23.1 in lowland. In the adult group, the reason to choose unbottled drinking water is also because of its safety which is 63.1 in the highland and 80.4 in the lowland. Moreover, in the highland and lowland, the reasons to drink bottled drinkingbeverages are because of its safety 55.6 and 58.8 respectively and its practicality 33.3 and 27.5 respectively. It is conclude that consumers more consider in safety and practical issues for choosing drinking water and other beverages.
