CHAPTER IV CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION
A. Conclusion
After having an analysis of complex sentences translation on Mirror Image novel by Danielle Steel as a source language and the novel Mirror Image translate
into Bahasa by Ade Dina Sigarlaki as target language. The writer concludes some translation of complex sentence and the procedure applied in this novel there are
twenty data in the analysis: 1.
a. Seven Complex Sentence of Adjective relative clauses change to other sentences, which use of relative pronoun that, who, whom,
whose, which, when, where. b.
And also the procedures applied to the complex sentences, which use one transposition, four modulation, three literal translation, and
naturalization procedures. 2.
a. Nine Complex Sentence of Adverb clauses change to other sentences, which use of adverb of time, place, clause or reason,
condition, concession, contrast, result, comparison, and manner. b.
And also the procedures applied to the complex sentences, use five modulation, two additions, two literal translation, reduction, and
transposition procedures. 3.
a. Four Complex Sentence of Noun Clauses change to other sentences, which use of noun clause as subject, object, complement, and
preposition`s object. b.
And also the procedures applied to the complex sentences, use two reduction and three modulation procedures.
B. Suggestions
Based on the conclusion above, the writer has some suggestions as follows:
1. For other researchers who want to do the same analysis, this is so
interesting object to be analyzed. There is a matter to consider when analysis of complex sentences Translatiom. The source and target
language systems will be different. So, for a new translator should know about the grammatical. let`s he or she should know what the term of
complex sentence that would be used. 2.
For translators require the depth knowledge of the grammar, semantics, syntax, idioms, and the like of the source language, as well as the culture
of its speakers, and must have in depth knowledge of target language. Finally, the writer hopes this thesis can give positive contribution in
translation study, especially for the students of English Letters Department, Faculty of Adab and H
umanities, State Islamic University “Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, as an additional reference in studying complex sentence. as this thesis is
still far from perfection, so the writer hopes the reader`s correction and evaluation to make this thesis more perfect.
