7 KESIMPULAN DAN SARAN

7.1 Kesimpulan

1. Komunitas ikan kerapu di daerah reservasi memiliki keanekaragaman dan kelimpahan yang relatif lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan di daerah non- reservasi, sedangkan habitat bentik, baik komposisi tutupan maupun keanekaragaman karang tidak menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara daerah reservasi dan daerah non-reservasi. 2. Kelimpahan ikan kerapu di lokasi penelitian lebih dipengaruhi oleh status perlindungan yang merepresentasikan tekanan penangkapan, sedangkan keanekaragaman ikan kerapu dipengaruhi oleh kondisi tutupan karang hidup. 3. Penetapan zona inti cukup efektif dalam menjaga keanekaragaman dan kelimpahan ikan kerapu, namun tidak efektif dalam menjaga kondisi terumbu karang sebagai habitat ikan kerapu.

7.2 Saran

1. Untuk meningkatkan efektivitas zona inti dan memberikan dampak manfaat bagi komunitas dan habitat ikan kerapu, maka perlu penguatan pengelolaan zona inti yang sudah ada dengan: a melakukan pengawasan dan penegakan hukum secara intensif, b melakukan sosialisasi dan penyadaran masyarakat, c melibatkan masyarakat dalam sistem pengelolaan, terutama dalam hal pengawasan, dan d melakukan monitoring dan evaluasi secara berkala dan berkelanjutan. 2. Perlu mengidentifikasi dan memetakan lokasi dan waktu pemijahan massal spesies kerapu sebagai salah satu dasar pertimbangan bagi pengelolaan perikanan kerapu berbasis ekologi di perairan Kepulauan Seribu.
