The media got more than 83 in percentage of items based on the English teachers’ questionnaires result. However, it should be revised based on the
English teachers’ comments and suggestions. She said that the background colour of the cover was too dark. The revision was done by changing the color of
background into the colored one. On the other hand, there were some evaluations from the English teacher of
SD IT Izzatul Islam Getasan. She said to make the background colour of family theme more colourful. The colours could attract students’ attentions. Moreover,
the students liked to see the colourful background than white background.
D. Limitation of the Product Development
The video program developed in this research study could be used to teach
third grade students of elementary schools and cannot be used to teach different grade. Besides, this media could only be used as media for the teaching of
listening. Different media were needed to teach the other skills such as speaking, reading, and writing.
The media was designed only for specific subject such as family, food and beverages, and fruits. They were limited to describing characteristics of people,
like and dislike about food and beverages, and simple instructions. Even though the video program could be used to teach the other topic, the content of video
program should be adjusted.

CHAPTER V CONCLUSIONS AND SUGGESTION
A. Conclusion of the Product Development
The aim of the study is to develop a video program to be used as the media in the teaching listening to the third grade students of elementary schools. Based on
the RD theory by Borg Gall 1983 and Gay 1987, the media are developed. There are eight steps in the media development, i.e. conducting a needs analysis,
formulating instructional design, designing, producing, assessing, revising, implementing, and evaluating the media.
There were three main parts in producing the media. They are recording the song, making the video, and making the program. Making the lyric and melody
were done before recording the song. Furthermore, making the illustration of the pictures was done before making the video. The illustration of the pictures was
designed using Corel X3 program. Then, the lyric, the song, and the picture were combined using movie maker. After that, planning the concept of video program
was done. The program was designed using macro media flash. Furthermore, they were saved in micro SD.
Teacher’s guide book and students’ workbook are the other products to support the media. The teacher’s guide book is the book that used to help the
English teacher in using the video program for the teaching of listening. There are course grid and lesson plan, steps in using the video program, materials,
assessment and key answers in the teacher’s guide book. Furthermore, students’ workbook is for the students to assess students understanding in listening skill.
