B. Suggestions

Based on the conclusion explained above, there are some suggestions for: 1. English Teachers of Elementary School Interesting media are needed in the teaching and learning process. The students like to learn English use interesting media because it will grab their attention. The English teacher can use the video program as an interesting media for the teaching of listening to the third grade students of elementary schools. Besides, interesting media can be used to increase the students’ motivation in learning English. 2. Headmaster of Elementary School The media should be available in the schools in order to support the teaching and learning process. Besides, headmaster should encourage the teacher to use interesting media in the classroom activities. The teachers can use video program as an interesting media in the teaching and learning process. Headmaster can also facilitate the teachers with supporting equipment that can be used in the video program. It makes the teachers have access to the media. Moreover, video program will make the students do not get bored in the classroom. 3. Material Writers and Media Developers Developing video program is highly recommended as appropriate media for the teaching of listening in the elementary school. It can be alternative media because it can grab students’ attentions and improve their motivation in the teaching and learning process. The material writers are expected to improve the product by different skills, content, and technique. It can also be applied in other schools. 4. English Department Video program is an appropriate media for teaching listening. That is why English department should pay attention to the media development. English department can also give technical skill about media design for the students. Besides, the English department can train the students to learn more about the product. 5. Other Researchers The video program is a new innovation in instructional media design. It can be used to motivate the students to learn. Since it is very beneficial, it is expected to other researchers to develop the same product for the other levels of education. Moreover, there are two aspects, i.e. supporting equipment and time allocation to be considered in using the video program. Those two aspects influence the success of media usage. The English teachers should be aware about those aspects. The following are the descriptions of the two aspects. 1. Supporting equipment In using the media, the teacher needs to provide computer, screen, LCD, and speaker. Without those equipment, the teaching and learning process will not be effective. Computer is one of the dominant supporting equipment, because video program can not play without computer. Screen is used to show the pictures or words from the computer. Screen can be changed with white board or wall. LCD
