CHAPTER IV RESEARCH FINDINGS
A. Result Development of the Media
1. The Results of the Needs Analysis
There were two parts of the results of the needs analysis. They were the description of the learners and the descriptions of learners’ needs and learning
needs. The results of the needs analysis are described below:
a. The Description of the Students’ Age
The sample of the research study was 35 students in third grade of SD IT Izzatul Islam Getasan in the academic year of 2014 2015. There were twenty two
boys and thirteen girls. Their age range was from eight to nine years old. The data of the students can be seen in the table below:

b. The Descriptions of Students’ needs and Students’ Learning Needs
The results of the students’ needs analysis showed information about students’ interest, students’ attitude toward the English lesson, students’
background, students’ motivation, students’ learning needs, and students’ expectation. The results were used as the references of developing video program
in the third grade of elementary schools. The results of the students’ interest toward English lesson are presented in the table below.

The first part of questionnaire presents data that most of the third grade students of SD IT Izzatul Islam Getasan have interest toward English. From the
first data, it can be seen that 82.85 of the students like English very much. The
second data shows that more than half of the students also wait for the English lesson to be begun. Based on the results of the data above, it can be concluded that
the students are interested in learning English. The second part of needs analysis questionnaire was about students’ attitude
toward the English lesson. The results are presented in the table below.
