1. Class Observation

Day : Tuesday, August, 19 th 2014 Time : 09.15 – 10.25 Place : ClassIII of SD IT Islam Getasan The English teacher entered the class. She began the class by saying greeting. After that, she asked the students about the last material. Some students answered the question in their mother language. Then, the English teacher asked the students to open the next chapter in their course book. The material for that day was parts of the body. The English teacher explained the materials orally. Sometimes, she wrote down the material on the whiteboard and asked the students to copy the material. For example: eyes, ears, nose, head, hand.Next, she read some vocabulary and asked the students to repeat after her. Most of the students were still wrong in their pronounciation and the teacher gave the right pronounciation. Then, she asked the students to do the task from their workbook. She explained the instruction about the task. However, just a few of the students paid attention to the teacher’s explanation. Most of them did not pay attention. That is why there was student who did not understand to the instructions of the task. The English teacher was going around and helped the students to understand the task. After that, the condition of the class was unrestrained. Some of the students liked to going around and did not pay attention to the teaching and learning activities. The English teacher had to calm down the class by saying “Jangan rame ya.” The teacher asked the students to submit the tasks before the bell rang. She gave a score in the task and gave it to the students. He ended the class by saying good bye. 191

2. Meeting I

Daydate : Tuesday, 6 th January 2015 Setting :Classroom III Time :08.30 - 10.00 Theme : Food and Beverages  There were two members of the class that could not attend the meeting. They were got sick.  The students had known about the name of the vocabularies about food and beverages in English.  The students were very active when they answered the question from the teacher about food and beverages in the slide.  In the listen and repeat stage, all of the students did the instructions well.  The students were very excited when they watched the video. after that, they did the task by giving a number to every pictures based on the song.  The students watched to the video again and then did the task by giving the tick in the pictures based on the song.  The next task was listen and colour. The students chose the food and beverages pictures mentioned in the song and colour them.  The last task just answers the questions by crossing the right answer. They did the task well.  Some students asked the meaning of some words while doing the task.  The student’s workbooks submitted.  The students closed the lesson by singing a song together. They were very active and happy when they were singing together.
