BAB V SIMPULAN DAN SARAN
5.1 Simpulan
Setelah menganalisis data mengenai terjemahan istilah-istilah budaya dari bahasa sumber ke dalam bahasa Inggris pada brosur pariwisata yang diterbitkan oleh Dinas
Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Provinsi Sumatera Utara pada tahun 2008, dapat disimpulkan bahwa :
1 Istilah-istilah Budaya yang Terdapat pada Brosur Priwisata Berbahasa Inggris, Provinsi
Sumatera Utara. Terdapat sebanyak 67 istilah budaya pada brosur pariwisata berbahasa Indonesia dan
Inggris yang diterbitkan oleh Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Provinsi Sumatera Utara pada tahun 2008. Istilah-istilah budaya tersebut berkaitan dengan ekologi sebanyak 1 istilah
budaya 1,49 , makanan sebanyak 13 istilah budaya 19,40 , benda budayaartefak sebanyak 2 istilah budaya 2,98 , pakaian sebanyak 4 istilah budaya 5,97 , bangunan
sebanyak 6 istilah budaya 8,96 , transportasi 1 sebanyak istilah budaya 1,49 , bahasa sebanyak 4 istilah budaya 5,97 , sosial budaya sebanyak 13 istilah budaya 19,40 ,
kemasyarakan sebanyak 8 istilah budaya 11,94 , agama sebanyak 3 istilah budaya 4,48 , seni sebanyak 12 istilah budaya 17,91 .

Teknik penerjemahan yang digunakan dalam menerjemahkan istilah-istilah budaya yang terdapat pada brosur pariwisata berbahasa Inggris, Provinsi Sumatera Utara, adalah
Teknik Penerjemahan Deskripsi sebanyak 25 37,31 , Teknik Penerjemahan Peminjaman sebanyak 21 31,34 , Teknik Penerjemahan Calque sebanyak 12 17,91 , Teknik
Penerjemahan Generalisasi 6 8,96 , Teknik Penerjemahan Literal sebanyak 2 2,99 , Teknik Penerjemahan couplet sebanyak 1 1,49 .
3 Pergeseran shift
Terdapat 44 pergeseran shift pada terjemahan istilah-istilah budaya dari bahasa sumber ke dalam bahasa sasaran. Pergeseran shift tersebut terdiri atas pergeseran unit US
sebanyak 28 63,63 , pergeseran struktur SS sebanyak 13 29,55 , dan pergeseran dalam IS sebanyak 3 6,82 .
5.2 Saran
Melalui tesis ini peneliti ingin menyampaikan saran yang diharapkan dapat bermanfaat, yaitu:
1 Teknik Penerjemahan yang digunakan dalam menerjemahkan istilah-istilah
budaya dari BSu ke dalam BSa sebaiknya dipilih teknik penerjemahan yang dapat memberikan penjelasan mengenai istilah budaya dimaksud sehingga lebih
mudah dimengerti oleh pengguna brosur pariwisata berbahasa Inggris, Provinsi Sumatera Utara tersebut.

2 Agar dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai penerjemahan istilah-istilah
budaya lainnya misalnya yang berkaitan dengan kualitas terjemahan dan sebagainya.

Data penelitian ini berasal dari sumber data penelitian berupa brosur pariwisata yang berbahasa Indonesia dan Inggris diterbitkan oleh Dinas Kebudayaan
dan Pariwisata Provinsi Sumatera Utara tahun 2008.Dalam brosur tersebut terdapat sitilah-istilah budaya dalam bahasa Indonesia, dan yang dipinjam dari bahasa Arab
