kalimat tersebut kurang wajar atau kurang memenuhi nilai rasa yang berlaku dalam budaya masyarakat

D. Research Procedures
This research is conducted through some procedures as follows: ·
Collecting The Data Expressing Address forms I collected and wrote all of the words containing address forms in the
translation of the film “Casanova”.
· Encoding The Data Expressing Address forms
lxvi Each of data collected was given a code, which shows the number of the
datum, the minute from which the address forms expression and its translation were taken. For example, 001CsvD101:44. It means that the datum number
001 is taken from the film “Casanova” on disc 1 and its translation in the
minute of 01 and 44 second. ·
Analyzing The Data Expressing Address forms Here, the data were analyzed to observe the kinds of translation variations of
address forms and the strategies used by the subtitler in translating address
forms in the film “Casanova”.
· Collecting The Questionnaires
The questionnaires of this research are to assess the quality of the translation accuracy and acceptability. Here, I collected the scores of the data by making
questionnaires and distributing them to the informants raters. ·
Analyzing The Questionnaires Here, the data were analyzed to know the effect of the translation using the
strategies applied by the subtitler in the film “Casanova” to the quality of the
translation in terms of accuracy and acceptability. ·
Classifying The Result of Analysis Based on the analysis result, the data were put into classifications. Then,
number of data in each classification was calculated to get the percentage, and finally the result was presented in the form of tables to give clearer description.
· Drawing conclusion
lxvii Based on the result of the analysis and research findings, I drew some
conclusion and suggestion.
E. Technique of Data Analysis
The collected data were analyzed based on the following ways: 1.
Analyzing the kinds of translation variations applied by the subtitler in
translating address forms in the film “Casanova”.
Here, the data were classified based on several kinds of translation variations applied in translating address forms.
2. Analyzing the strategies applied by the subtitler in translating address forms in
the film “Casanova”.

3. Analyzing the effect of the translation using the strategies applied by the
subtitler in the film “Casanova” to the quality of the translation in terms of
accuracy and acceptability. First, I analyzed the result of the questionnaire related to the accuracy
assessment. Here, the questionnaires were collected from three raters. The measurement of the accuracy of the translation was based on a scale of three
levels 1, 2, and 3 which indicated the degree of the accuracy of the translation. Then, I calculated the total score and the mean of the score.
Second, I analyzed the result of the questionnaire related to acceptability assessment. Here, the questionnaires were collected from the
raters too. The questionnaires consist of scale of three levels 1, 2, and 3 which
lxviii indicated the degree of the acceptability of the translation. Then, I calculated
the total score and the mean of the score. 4. Counting the percentage of each classification.
5. Drawing conclusion.
