The Test of Prerequisite Analysis

58 c. Mean = ∑ ∑ Description: Me : Mean ∑f 1 : the sum of occurrences ∑f 1 x 1 : multiplication product of f 1 per interval data and class sign x 1 Sugiyono, 2007: 53 d. Standard Deviation = √ ∑ − ̅ − Description: SD : standard deviation n : number of data sample n – 1 : degree of freedom Sugiyono, 2007: 54 According to Suharsimi Arikunto 2006: 264 there are three categories of variable, namely: a. High category = Mi + 1 SDi b. Medium category = Mi – 1 SDi up to Mi + 1SDi c. Low category = Mi – 1 SDi

2. The Test of Prerequisite Analysis

a. Linearity Test Linearity test used for knowing the linear relationship between independent variable and dependent variable. This is a requirement of regression analysis using. F test used for linearity test on significant level of 5 within formula: 59 = Description: F reg : equation F for the regression line RK reg : mean squared regression RK res : mean squared residual Hadi, 2004:13 Decision-taking for this linearity test was by consultating F count with F table. If F count F table and significant value 0,05, the regression would be linear. Vise versa, F count F table and significant value 0,05, the regression would be nonlinear. b. Multicolinearity Test Multicolinearity test used as requirement of multiple regression analysis. Multicolinerarity was aimed to test whether there is any relation between one independent varibale with another in regression mode. Formula used for multicolinearity test was the corelation formula of Pearson Product Moment as following: r xy = N ∑ XY − ∑ X ∑ Y √ {N ∑ X − ∑ X }{N ∑ Y − ∑ Y } Description: r xy : the coefficient between Parenting Style X 1 , or Emotional Quotient X 2 , or Learning Readiness X 3 , or Learning Style X 4 variables, and Learning Achievement of Financial Accounting variable Y. N : the number of correspondents. ∑X : the amount of the price of the Parenting Style, or Emotional Quotient, or Learning Readiness, or Learning Style variables. ∑Y : the amount of the price of a learning echievement of financial accounting variable ∑XY : the multiplication of the number Parenting Style X 1 , or Emotional Quotient X 2 , or Learning Readiness X 3 , or 60 Learning Style X 4 variables, and Learning Achievement of Financial Accounting variable Y. Arikunto, 2010: 213 If r count was less than 0,800, there would not be any multicolinearity between independent variables, so that the multiple regression analysis was able to be used, meanwhile if r count was equal or bigger than 0,800, there would be multicolinearity so that the research could not be continued but having to use the parameter namely paremeter for nonlinear regression.
