Konsumen. Kegiatan CSR Perseroan dijalankan oleh masing-masing Entitas Anak yang berinteraksi
langsung dengan masyarakat di sekitar konsesi tambang. Kebijakan dan arah kegiatan CSR ditetapkan
dengan memperhatikan kebutuhan paling mendesak masyarakat setempat dan kemampuan Entitas Anak.
Pada dasarnya, Perseroan berkomitmen untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat wilayah
setempat dengan memberdayakan empat pilar utama, yaitu:
1. Pendidikan
a. Melaksanakan program pengembangan PAUD b. Melaksanakan program fasilitas kegiatan
sekolah di sekitar lingkungan tambang c. Memberikan program beasiswa bagi siswa
berprestasi
2. Kesehatan
a. Melaksanakan program pemeriksaan dokter dan mengadakan pengobatan gratis
b. Menyelenggarakan program donor daran bekerjasama dengan PMI setempat
c. Melakukan program pemberian layanan kesehatan bagi balita, lansia dan ibu hamil
3. Ekonomi
a. Melakukan program pengembangan budidaya ternak ikan lele dan nila
b. Melaksanakan program penanaman buah naga dengan total sebanyak 300 pohon
c. Melaksanakan program pemeliharaan sapi dan pengembangbiakan kambing peranakan Etawa
4. Lingkungan
a. Melaksanakan program penghijauan b. Melaksanakan program pemelharaan sumur
bor, pompa air dan rencana pemberian lahan untuk pendistribusian air bersih PDAM
c. Melakukan program pengelolaan sampah Pada 2016, Perseroan mengeluarkan biaya untuk
praktik CSR sejumlah US4,4 juta. Community Empowerment programs, K3 Practices and
Product Responsibility and Consumer Protection. The Company’s CSR activities are run by each subsidiary
which interacts directly with communities surrounding the mining concession. The policy and direction of
CSR activities are determined by taking into account the most urgent needs of local communities and the
capabilities of the subsidiary.
Basically, the Company is committed to improving the quality of life in local communities by empowering four
main pillars, namely:
1. Education
a. Implementing Early Childhood Education PAUD development programs
b. Implementing school activity programs around the mining sites
c. Providing scholarship programs for outstanding students.
2. Health
a. Carrying out medical examination programs and conducting free medical treatment
b. Organizing blood donor programs in cooperation with the local branch of the
Indonesian Red Cross c. Conducting health service programs for
toddlers, the elderly and pregnant women
3. Economy
a. Conducting development programs to cultivate catish and nile tilapia.
b. Implementing dragon fruit planting programs with a total of 300 trees
c. Conducting cattle and goat breeding programs
4. Environment
a. Implementing “go green” programs b. Implementing programs for the maintenance
of drilling wells, water pumps, and land distribution plan for clean water PDAM p
c. Conducting waste management programs In 2016, the Company’s spent US 4.4 million on CSR
practices.

ENVIRONMENTAL PRESERVATION RESPONSIBILITY
Management Policy
The Company implements environmental conservation policies in every mining activity. The policy is guided
by proper technical rules or “green mining”, starting at the planning stage that internalizes safety and
environmental preservation requirements. In addition, the Company is committed to restoring the post-
mining ecosystem to enable the land to be replanted and improve the living standards of the people.
Activities in 2016
The Company’s CSR activities included efforts to protect and manage the environment including rehabilitation
and revegetation of mined land, monitoring of water quality, and reduction of dust, noise and waste.
The Company is certiied in the environmental ield to be accountable for managing natural resources. The
Company’s environmental management system has complied with ISO 14001:2004 standard from Lloyd’s
Register Quality Assurance Ltd. approved by ABN on 28 August 2014, while TMU has met the ISO 14001:2004 +
Cor 1:2009 Certiicate from the independent institution DQS GmbH received on 23 August 2015.
In 2016, ABN was awarded the “Gold PROPER”, which is the highest ranking Corporate Performance Rating
Program in Environmental Management. ABN has won Gold PROPER for two consecutive years. In the
same year, IM TMU successfully achieved “Green PROPER”. Green PROPER is a very good rating given
to companies that have carried out pollution control and environmental damage efforts or carried out clean
production and have achieved results over and above the minimum requirements as stipulated in prevailing
legislation.
TANGGUNG JAWAB BIDANG PELESTARIAN LINGKUNGAN HIDUP
Kebijakan Manajemen
Perseroan mengimplementasikan kebijakan-kebijakan pelestarian lingkungan dalam setiap kegiatan
penambangan. Kebijakan tersebut berpedoman pada kaidah teknis yang benar atau “
green mining”, dimulai pada tahapan perencanaan yang menginternalisasikan
prasyarat keselamatan kerja dan pelestarian lingkungan. Selain itu, Perseroan berkomitmen untuk
melakukan pemulihan kembali fungsi lingkungan ekosistem pasca kegiatan pertambangan agar lahan
dapat ditanami kembali dan membawa manfaat bagi hidup masyarakat.
Kegiatan 2016
Kegiatan CSR Perseroan di bidang Lingkungan mencakup upaya Perseroan bagi perlindungan dan
pengelolaan lingkungan hidup termasuk rehabilitasi lahan bekas tambang dan revegetasi, pemantauan
kualitas air, debu, kebisingan dan limbah.
Perseroan memperoleh sertiikasi di bidang lingkungan sebagai bentuk pertanggungjawaban Perseroan dalam
mengelola sumber daya alam. Pengelolaan sistem manajemen lingkungan Perseroan telah memenuhi
standar ISO 14001:2004 dari lembaga independen Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Ltd yang diterima
oleh ABN pada 28 Agustus 2014, sementara TMU telah memenuhi standar Sertiikat ISO 14001:2004 + Cor
1:2009 dari lembaga independen DQS GmbH yang diterima pada 23 Agustus 2015.
Pada tahun 2016, ABN telah berhasil meraih penghargaan PROPER Emas, yaitu peringkat tertinggi
dalam Program Penilaian Peringkat Kinerja Perusahaan dalam Pengelolaan Lingkungan Hidup. ABN telah
dua tahun berturut-turut meraih PROPER Emas. Di tahun yang sama, IM TMU berhasil meraih PROPER
Hijau. PROPER Hijau adalah peringkat yang sangat baik yang diberikan kepada perusahaan yang telah
melaksanakan upaya pengendalian pencemaran dan kerusakan lingkungan atau melaksanakan produksi
bersih dan telah mencapai hasil lebih dari persyaratan minimum sebagaimana diatur dalam perundang-
undangan yang berlaku.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY Management Policy
The Company is committed to encouraging economic empowerment of communities around the mining
sites to improve the level of people’s welfare. This policy is implemented directly by involving local
communities in the Company’s business activities. In recruiting employees, the Company prioritizes local
communities. By involving the local workforce, the Company contributes to increasing educational levels,
work experience, and the economy of the community. In 2016, the Company employed more than 50 of the
local workforce.
