Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji persistensi dan keamanan formulasi emulsifiable concentrate EC dan wettable powder WP berbahan Tephrosia
vogelii dan Piper aduncum 1:5 terhadap musuh alami dan efek fitotoksiknya terhadap daun brokoli, serta mengevaluasi efektifitasnya terhadap hama
Crocidolomia pavonana di lapangan. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa formulasi campuran ekstrak aman terhadap parasitoid Eriborus argenteopilosus
dan tidak menyebabkan fitotoksik terhadap daun brokoli. Persistensi formulasi sangat rendah, meskipun demikian aktivitas insektisida formulasi EC dan WP
lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan insektisida berbahan aktif Bacillus thuringiensis BT. Formulasi EC dan WP tidak menimbulkan gejala fitotoksik pada daun
brokoli sehingga aman digunakan di lapangan. Aplikasi di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa pada saat populasi hama C. pavonana tinggi, formulasi EC dan WP
mampu menekan populasi hama C. pavonana lebih dari 80 jika dibandingkan dengan kontrol, bahkan aktivitas kedua formulasi lebih baik jika dibandingkan
dengan insektisida pembanding deltametrin

The aims of this study were to determine the persistency and safety of emulsifiable concentrate EC and wettable powder WP formulations of
Tephrosia vogelii and Piper aduncum 1:5 against natural enemies and broccoli leaves phytotoxic effect, and to assess their effectiveness against Crocidolomia
pavonana in the field. EC and WP formulations were safe to parasitoid Eriborus argenteopilosus and did not cause phytotoxic effect on broccoli leaves.
Persistency of EC and WP formulations was lower than bioinsecticide Bacillus thuringiensis BT. The mortality percentages of C. pavonana which were applied
with EC and WP formulations reached 100, while BT was only 73.33, at first day treatments. Extract effectiveness declined sharply at one day after treatment,
indicating the low persistence of formulations. EC and WP formulation did not cause phytotoxic symptoms on broccoli leaves. Field applications showed that at
high population of C. pavonana, the EC and WP formulations were able to suppress the population of C. pavonana more than 80 compared to the control.
The activity of both formulations showed better activity than deltametrin, as a comparator synthetic insecticide.
