overlapping spikelets. Spikelets 1.8 mm long. Glumes dissimilar. Lower glume absent. Upper glume as long as spikelet, ovate-acute, pointed, obscurely 3-nerved.
Lower lemma similar in texture and size, 2-nerved, glabrous; palea absent. Upper lemma 1.7 mm long, indurated; palea 1.5 mm long, indurated, with a marked point,
fitting into the lemma, lateral flaps no more than one-third as long. Anthers 3, 0.5 mm long.
