both side, glabrous to pilose, sparsely hairy. Inflorescence a panicle, open, elliptic, c. 7 cm long, contracted about primary branches, primary panicle branches ascending.
Spikelet c. 1.5 mm long, comprising 2 fertile florets, without rachilla extension, orbicular, tilted on the pedicel, dorsally compressed, breaking up at maturity,
disarticulating below each fertile floret; rachilla internodes flattened. Glumes similar, deciduous, reaching apex of florets, thinner than fertile lemma. Lower glume c. 1.4
mm long, as long as upper glume, as long as spikelet, membranuous, without keels, surface glabrous, apex obtuse. Upper glume obovate, as long as adjacent fertile
lemma, membranuous, without keels, surface glabrous, apex obtuse; fertile florets with the lowest dissimilar, lowest fertile lemma 1.05 times length of adjacent lemma,
