Penelitian ini dilakukan pada saat musim penghujan, sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian sejenis pada saat musim kemarau yang diduga merupakan masa puncak pemanenan labi-labi dari alam. Hasil penelitian tersebut diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran kondisi labi-labi pada saat puncak pemanenan. 3. Kuota tangkap labi-labi ditetapkan dengan mempertimbangkan penentuan jenis kelamin labi-labi jantan saja yang diperbolehkan dipanen pada bulan- bulan tertentu untuk memberikan kesempatan labi-labi betina bertelur. Untuk dapat menentukan implikasi pemanenan jenis kelamin tertentu terhadap kelestarian populasi labi-labi di alam masih perlu dilakukan penelitian mengenai nisbah kelamin ideal labi-labi.
