i. Synonym
This datum has synonym strategy applied in two parts. The first is in the sentence I draw strength from being with you which becomes aku mendapat
kekuatan dengan berada bersamamu. The phrase draw strength is synonymous with the phrase mendapat kekuatan, because according to OALD, the word draw
can be meant as to produce a reaction or response. So, draw strength means Savannah can produce strengths by being with John. As a result, it is
synonymous with the TT phrase mendapat kekuatan. The translator tries to explain that Savannah is getting some strengths from being with John.
The second synonym in the datum is in the last sentence I was a wreck which translated as aku hancur. The word wreck is defined by OALD as a person
who is in a bad physical or mental condition. Then, KBBI defines hancur as smashed to pieces. These two words are synonymous since both of them has the
same basic concept, which is about something that is in a bad condition.

i. Omission
The first strategy found in the datum is omission. It is applied in the sentence I wish I were with you now and it is translated into aku berharap
sedang bersamamu saat ini. The word I after the word wish is deleted in the TT. It is because the use of the second I in the TT is considered less effective,
because it will be aku berharap aku sedang bersamamu. The translation aku berharap sedang bersamamu is considered effective and acceptable for the TT
readers.
ii. Transposition
The second strategy is transposition. It can be seen in the phrase your elusive smile which translated into senyummu yang sulit diartikan. The
modifierelusive is still placed in the end of the phrase, even though there is a possessive pronoun your. The head of the phrase, which is smile, is still on the
beginning of the phrase and followed by the possessive pronoun –mu.
