According to the Content Standard BSNP,2006:212, the written competencies that should be acquired by the students of Junior High School cover Short Functional Text, the Genres of Descriptive, Procedure, Recount, Narrative and Report. While the Spoken Competencies cover Short functional text, Transactional Conversation, Interpersonal Conversation, Monologues.
