Dalam memastikan integritas penyajian laporan keuangan kepada pemegang saham, Antam menggunakan jasa auditor eksternal. Pemilihan auditor eksternal merupakan tanggung jawab Komite Audit berdasarkan Piagam Komite Audit yang didalamnya mengatur tentang proses seleksi dan penunjukkan auditor eksternal, serta ketentuan yang harus dipatuhi terkait legalitas, kompetensi dan independensi akuntan publik yang berlaku di Indonesia dan Australia.

Untuk memastikan diterapkannya fungsi yang berhubungan dengan audit dan pengendalian intern maka auditor eksternal yang terpilih adalah KAP Purwantono, Suherman & Surja (member firm Ernst & Young Global Limited) melakukan audit Laporan Keuangan Perusahaan untuk tahun buku 2011 dari Desember 2011 sampai dengan Maret 2012, dengan jasa audit sebesar Rp1.320.000.000. Walaupun KAP Purwantono, Suherman & Surja (member firm Ernst & Young Global Limited) telah menjadi auditor eksternal Antam sejak pemeriksaan untuk tahun buku 2007, namun terhitung pemeriksaan tahun buku 2010, telah dilakukan rotasi Signing Partner oleh auditor eksternal, sebelumnya oleh Hari Purwantono (2007- 2009) dan sekarang oleh Batara Manurung, sehingga pelaksanaan audit tidak bertentangan dengan Keputusan Menteri Keuangan No.423/KMK.06/2002.

In ensuring the integrity of financial report to our shareholders, we appointed external auditor. The selection of external auditor is the responsibility of audit committee under committee audit charter that governs the selection and appointment process for external auditor, as well as compliance with regulations in Indonesia and Australia regarding legality, competence and independence of public accountants.

Appointed external auditor, KAP Purwantono, Suherman & Surja (member firm Ernst & Young Global Limited), performed audit on Company’s financial statement for the period 2011 and from December 2011 to March 2012 to ensure all the functions related to audit and internal control are implemented properly with audit fee Rp1.320.000.000. KAP Purwantono, Suherman & Surja (member firm Ernst & Young Global Limited) has been Antam’s external auditor since 2007, however there has been a signing partner rotation in year 2010 from Hari Purwantono (2007-2009) to Batara manurung, therefore the audit is in compliance to Minister of Finance decree No.423/KMK.06/2002.
