Abstrak
Kanker ovarium menempati urutan ke 5 dan mortalitas menempati nomor 2 dari seluruh penyakit kanker pada wanita sehingga dijuluki silent killer; cenderung meningkat. Hal tersebut terkait dengan kesulitan skrining
dan deteksi dini sehingga dilakukan upaya prediksi melalui sistem skoring ketika ditemukan tumor ovarium. Hampir 90 kanker ovarium adalah tipe epitelial sehingga secara epidemiologi klinis kanker ovarium analogi
dengan kanker ovarium. Dan, 95 bersifat sporadik dimana faktor risiko belum diketahui dan karsinogenesis yang kontroversi. Dengan demikian, ditingkat praktisi maka dibuatlah sistem skoring untuk prediksi keganasan
tumor ovarium terkait upaya penanganan dan prognosis; berdasarkan atas gejala klinis, gambaran USG, dan kadar biomarker. Beberapa indeks risiko keganasan kanker ovarium yang telah disusun seperti Sudarjanto dan
morfologi Sassone-Timor Tritsch. Sementara, sistem skoring antara lain the Risk Malignancy Index MRI dan the Risk of Ovarian Malignancy Algorithm ROMA. Rekomendasi pilihan sistem skoring kanker ovarium tipe
epitelial di Indonesia dibedakan atas daerah pelayanan sentral, intermedit dan periferi.
