Certain actions or events result in succeeding events as a consequence of the situation which they bring about. The succeeding event is introduced in English by the phrase ―and consequently‖. Generally speaking, in Kuna, the first event is stated in one sentence and the consequential event is stated in the next sentence which begins with the conjunction tegin ‗and then‘.
